Lesson 1

In these difficult times, nothing is more helpful than a powerful, conscious spiritual practice. This will help us to return again and again to our own sense of Embodiment, Truth and Purpose. For this, the first lesson of the Body as a Temple Eurythmy Class, we focused on the great eurythmy sound "U," When we speak this sound, we feel its dark, sonorous tones of focused energy. Its power pours into our body as a straight, stern and reliable scaffolding. It is revealed in our human form through our parallel "long bones" of the arms and of the legs. When we do the "U" in eurythmy, we pour ourselves into the security and surety that speaks in us "I am here, in my body. I am grounded, I am present." To cultivate this experience, we worked with the U in many variasions, culminating in the powerful "Hope-U" exercise. Exercises done: Peace exercise Contraction/expansion The form of the cross in space U, with the arms and with the legs, in standing and in walking Hope-U "Into the depths of the earth" At the conclusion of this very quiet, grounding lesson, we repeated the short, 3-5 minutes series that you could choose to do to incorporate the U-exercises into your daily practice.

Lesson 2

In these difficult times, nothing is more helpful than a powerful, conscious spiritual practice. This will help us to return again and again to our own sense of Embodiment, Truth and Purpose. Eurythmy helps us to remember the sanctity of life on earth, with a grounding and restorative practice that integrates body, soul and spirit. May this work bless and strengthen you on your path. For this, the second lesson of the Body as a Temple Eurythmy Class, we added to the U-experience from last week the experience of the EE (I). The U is connected to the archetypes of our body, the strict supports of the parallel lines of our long bones, the forces of Saturn that support us to Stand. The EE, in direct contrast, focuses on the experience of the single straight line that connects us to heaven and to earth. It gives us the power of individuation and balance---literally and figuratively--- and is connected to Mercury. EE gives us the power to walk our own truth, and to manifest responsibility and truthfully the uniques path that is our destiny. We also worked with exercises to loosen the path, support good posture, and open up the rhythmic system for the sake of full breathing. Exercises done: Peace exercise Threefold walking Contraction/expansion U in mutltiple variation "L" for straightening the back Rhythmic R to support the Rhythmic system EE in many variations Yes/No to integrate the head and the will The form of the cross in space "Into the depths of the earth"

Lesson 3

For this, the week lesson of the Body as a Temple Eurythmy Class, we went even deeper into the complementary experiences of the U exercise and the Ee exercises. The first, the U exercises, help us to "stand," to know what our deep values are because we are rooted in our spiritual integrity as a human being. The Ee exercises, in contrast, help us to find balance both physically and soul-spirituality, whereby we find balance for all the changing circumstances of life. The Ee develops and expresses our spiritual individuality. The "Great U" and "Great Ee" exercises are done as movement practices in Therapeutic Eurythmy. As I stress in this lesson, they are not intended to merely be done in times of need. Rather, through repeated, daily practice we impress them deeply into our whole constitution. It is recommended that they be done for seven weeks! We also worked with again with Hope-U for "warming the metabolism" and added Love-Ā for "strengthening and harmonizing the rhythmic system." Exercises done: Peace exercise Threefold walking The "Ego-Line" Contraction/expansion "L" for loosening and straightening the back The "Great-Ee Exercise" (modified) The "Great U Exercise" (modified)

Lesson 4

In this, the fourth and last lesson of this series, we focused first on what I experience as the most beautiful of the three Therapeutic Soul Eurythmy Exercises: the "Ah-Reverence." We first practiced creating a genuine, open-hearted "Ah," exercising the capacity to open the heart space to the sense world around us. We then added the "Reverence" gesture, which opens our awareness of the spiritual forces of our angels (and beyond) behind us. When practiced as Ah-Reverence, we open to gain and strengthen our forces of immunity and also our ability to overcome insomnia and enter into "sleepland" more easily. Exercises done: Peace Exercise Contraction-Expansion Threefold walking "L" for loosening and straightening the back Ah-Reverence Love-Ā Hope-U
