Foundation Stone Meditation
This is the fourth and final webinar of this series, in which we combine all the elements covered, and added a few more. The entire practice now includes: how the IAO (ee-ah-oh) sounds are used in the verse, how Libra and Taurus are integrated, along with the form and the sounds I have taught for this beautiful verse.
This video, the third is a series of four lessons, is a truly advanced lesson. Building on the foundation created in the previous two lessons, we learned sound gestures for the entire fourth panel of the foundation stone meditation, and also began to practice putting them on to the form for the verse. This is a wonderful lesson that can be practiced over and over again, for a rich and challenging eurythmy practice!
In this, the second in a series of four lessons, we continue to work on the foundation elements of the fourth panel of the foundation stone meditation. Here we have learned a complete form to do for the entire verse, and also sounds for the first several lines. A rich and deep session!
The Foundation Stone Meditation is a verse given by Rudolf Steiner at the Christmas Conference in December 1923, as a verse to be carried and cultivated by spiritually seeking people of our age who choose to come together for the work of the free school of Anthroposophy, the "Wisdom of the Human Being." Rudolf Steiner also created magnificent eurythmy forms for this verse, to be performed by six eurythmists. Although it is not possible to teach the entire for solo students, I am happy to share a form that I conceived to be done as part of Eurythmy as a Personal Practice.
